Why we do this
“Honestly? We don’t know either.”
Everyone’s running on a different operating system — beliefs, faiths, politics, hunches, grudges. And they update hourly. Morning-you and afternoon-you don’t always agree.
Meanwhile the feeds scream, the pundits pontificate, and half of what lands on your screen might be fake, hacked or written by a machine. How are any of us meant to navigate that?
But we’ll happily host the conversation. Peacefully. Face to face. Will we reach a consensus? Almost certainly not — and that’s fine. What matters is that everyone gets to say their piece in a room that’s safe enough to hear it, however unpalatable.
Burning local issue or the whole world feeling too heavy: come and speak freely, or just come and listen. You won’t agree with everyone. But interesting it will be.
